ACADEMIC IVANKA DENEVA WAS AWARDED IN SOFIA "FOR CONTRIBUTION TO BULGARIAN LITERATURE”

In the Ministry of Culture in Sofia at an official ceremony were presented the awards, distinguished on the eve of May 24 the creativity of Bulgarian writers, contributed to the development of our national vocabulary.

In front of the crowded hall "Sredets" in the MC, chairman of the Writers' Union, Dr. Boyan Angelov presented the awards of the authors of the competitions for "book published in 2015" - in the genres of poetry, prose, criticism, journalism, folklore, memoirs, children's literature and national awards for "lifetime contribution" (the writer Nikola Indjov) and awards in the name of Bogomil Nonev and Bozhidar Bozhilov.

Writer Dr. Ivanka Deneva was awarded an honorary prize for "contribution to Bulgarian literature." It is awarded by the Board of the Union of Bulgarian Writers on the occasion of the Slavonic Alphabet, native culture and education. This year the prize is awarded and to the established artists of the Bulgarian word Venko Markovski, Borislav Boychev, Stoyan Vulev, Myumyun Tahir, Pavlina Pavlova and others. The award-winning author responded with heartfelt speech about the rich literary tradition of town of Sliven, "Bulgarian issue" in her work and the role of the culture in the contemporary social processes.

Academic Dr. Ivanka Deneva is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Writers, the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria and the International Movement "World Poets" (Chile). Creator of books across genres prose (and hottest novels "Embers" and the "Crossroads and Winds"), stories and novels, poetry, theater and literary criticism, travelogues, plays, scientific reports and studies: a "theater of the transition" and the role of literary development in the cultural processes and education. She is also mentioned in several national encyclopedias, including "Famous Bulgarians" and "100 reasons to be proud that we are Bulgarians." Her works have been translated into Spanish, English, German, Italian, Turkish, French and Serbian languages and are presented in a number of countries in Europe and Latin America, the US, Canada, etc.

At the ceremony in the Ministry of Culture were awarded and the authors of the newspaper "The Word today" - for materials in the publication, which honors awarded chief editor Nadia Popova.
