Autumn session of the General Assembly of BASA 2017
On October 28, 2017 was hold the autumn session of the General Assembly of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Arts (BASA).
The meeting was opened and led by its chairman Academician Dobrin Svinarov.
Academic Choir Gusla, headed by Academician Valentin Bobevsky, performed "Mila Rodino", "Shumi Maritza", "Walk, Peoples Revived", "Mnogaia Leta", "One Covenant".

Academician Margarita Kamenova, Secretary General of BASA, read Prayer for Bulgaria.
With one minute's silence, the memory of the deceased members of BANI was honored.
A congratulatory letter was read from Club „"Missile Troops and Artillery".
An introductory speech was read by Academician Grigor Velev, chairman of BASA. He outlined the year as a year of sustainable development for the academy. He pointed the well-functioning structures of BASA and invited to a more systemic action certain units and their leaders.
Academician Iskra Hristozova introduced the new members of the academy and the promoted current members, and the Chairman of BASA academician Grigor Velev handed them the diplomas.
Summary information on the implementation of BASA's plan for the past period was made by Academician Margarita Kamenova and the heads of scientific and creative centers of the Academy: Academician Nadka Boyadzhieva; Academician Grigor Velev; Academician Yordan Kamenov; Academician Slavcho Pandeliev; Academician Georgi Marinov; Academician Nikolay Tuleshkov; Academician Nikolay Petrov; Academician Emil Yanev; Academician Valentin Stamov; Corresponding member Stoyan Tanev; Academician Georgi Fotev. Academician Angel Djambazovski presented the activities of the Institute of Kinesitherapy in the Republic of Macedonia.
The President of BASA Academician Grigor Velev awarded medals "Petar Beron" with greetings to Academician Ekaterina Tityanova, Academician Zahari Krastev and Corresponding member Nikolai Uvaliev and greetings with plaques of jubilees of the academy.
The meeting ended with a photo of attendees and gala dinner.
